After 165 days from the First session, the Second session of the Third Thromde Tshogdu was held today on 9th November, 2021.
The Chairperson welcomed all the Thuemis, officials from Regional Offices and Thromde Office for the Second Thromde Thsogdu.
The Chairperson, on his opening statement thanked all the Regional Offices for being able to carry out the developmental works smoothly. Most importantly, he paid tribute to His Majesty for his compassion and love to the people during the pandemic. Dasho also thanked His Holiness the Je Khenpo, Sarpang Dzongkhag Task Force, Armed forces and the De-Suups.
Dasho acquainted that water supply, road connections, electricity and waste management as some of the key developmental activities.
Dasho also said that Information and Communication Technology is one component that can be used for the development of business and economy. “A mobile application is in the final stage of development for the payment of water bill and other taxes”, he added.
Bhutan Power Corporation (BPC) is encouraged to switch from incandescent (CFL) bulbs with light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs which could save 76 percent in energy consumption and also reduce electric bills.
A new Park will soon be established where old cinema hall was demolished. The Chairman said that the work has already been awarded and hopes to see it completed soon. Redevelopment of the core town will also take place phase wise, Dasho said.
