With the successful launch of Mobile payment App. (GTPay) on 14 April 2022, Gelephu Thromde is moving one more step ahead towards digital world. GTPay will enable the public to pay Thromde services (Property tax, water and sewerage tax, etc.)

However, the App has to be tested live for a month before it is released for the general public in Play Store and App Store for the following reasons:

• To keep the transactions minimal for at least a month in order to ease problem solving if there are glitches in the App. Because once the App is released with malfunctions, it will be arduous to solve.

• Online payments are vulnerable to technical disturbances and needs thorough testing to avoid transaction failures.

• To gain customers experience on payment failure errors when they provide incorrect citizenship identity card number, the wrong one-time password (OTP), or they have insufficient funds in their account.

After a month long live testing and problem solving if any, the App will be released in Play Store and App Store and the public shall be informed accordingly.
